The Weather Today

The breezes had begun to sweep the land early yesterday morning and by today the air was clean and the skies were washed and blue again.  And a cool breeze covered the city, so refreshing was it, that I sat on my terrace and let it seep into me.  Zephyr had arrived and took away the debris—the blood, the threats, the insufferable heat—away with him.  But how long would he stay?  That part is uncertain.  Still, for the time being, it reminded of a song I like by a favorite band of mine, The Killers.

The Song

Exitlude

Aggressively, we all defend the role we play.

Regrettably, Time’s come to send you on your way.

We’ve seen it all — Bonfires of Trust, Flash Floods of Pain —

It doesn’t really matter, don’t you worry …  It’ll all work out out.

No it doesn’t even matter, don’t you worry, that it what it’s all about.

We hope you enjoy your stay.

— It’s good to have you with us —

Even if it’s just for the day.

(…)

Outside the sun is shining …

Seems like heaven ain’t far away.

— It’s good to have you with us —

Even if it’s just for the Day.
